Value of water

water

Cliche but true: You realise the importance of something only when you loose it. The same happened with me last week in a very realistic and practical manner. For a background I live in a rented room set in Noida. Everything was running smooth until one fine evening after returning from office I went into the washroom to freshen up and to my utter surprise there was no water. I tried to console myself by taking it as a temporary issue and following that I went outside to check with other people. No one was on the same page with me.

I started to panic a little bit as my landlord departed to Kolkata for eight days on previous day. Motor to lift water in the tank on terrace had only one switch which was behind the locked doors. Now I needed a lifesaving arrangement. Good two hours I tried everything but no avail. When I was returning to my place one of the guards told that municipal water comes from six to nine every morning and evening . Next day I woke up at seven and took two buckets to that tap and filled them. While walking back with heavily filled buckets I got acquainted with the problems of people who on the very daily basis suffered due to shortage of water. I bathed myself and used the water for daily chores and again went to the tap to fill the buckets to reserve for the rest of the day.

Now its third day in a row and I think I have adjusted myself for the condition. I think its not a big deal because I know it is temporary and in couple of days everything will be fine but I can’t imagine how people adjust to these problems for the whole life. These three days taught me how and why water is life.

I, on a very small scale, pledged to myself that I will not waste water in future.  After little bit of research I got to know that more than 2.8 billion people are affected due to water crisis for a period of a month in a year. Leave alone shortage of water , availability of potable water is a different story altogether.

To my surprise when I entered my place today and randomly checked the tap of my room, life was there. I felt relieved and thanked god. Mystery behind that is still in dark though.

When I got my bike…finally(gasp)…

2017-Bajaj-Pulsar-RS200-BSIV-Review-13

I used to have a 150 Bajaj Pulsar since 4 years now and being a bike crazy my heart was cringing to fly on a machine which is newer, faster and closer to my soul. I was planning to sell my old one but if you are this much crazy about bike you need to make a large effort to make up your mind to part your ways with your fitter half. My old pal had no idea what my mind was up to. On a very fine afternoon I randomly decided to take the step and in an hour I was in Karol Bagh, biggest market of vehicles.

I was searching for an agent who would provide a decent deal and finally I was into a shop run by paaji( Punjabi) who emerged as an epitome of cunning businessman. At a point when I was tired of argument I just wanted to let go things and returned home.

After good two months enjoying all the modes of public transport finally came the day when I went to Bajaj showroom on 26th April, 2017 to own a brand new Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Being a deadly combination of beauty and beast, it didn’t missed any chance to raise my adrenaline whenever I used to get a small look in the showroom. Some of you might think of me boasting but you would not understand unless you are a bike crazy like me. Good two hours they took to make my papers ready and of course the beast.

Time came when I was at the exit of the showroom with exit pass. An attendant brought my lovely carved and muscular beast and I took the first ride. The feeling I had at that time is beyond words. My inner self was hypothetically crying happily because of the sensation and for a minutes I was looking in the sky dealing man to man with the sun with confidence which had no shortcomings but a superpower making me invincible. I felt like consoling myself that I am alive and not dreaming but my state of mind had other plans.

First thing first I needed to feed the beast for the first time and then I went to meet the dearest person with whom I wished to share this feeling. Both of us flew for sometime in the city.

Its been more than a month now and my bike never fails to surprise me at any moment. May this unclaimed possession of unseen brotherhood never ends.

My side of the story !!!

How we react, burst our emotions totally depend upon how we feel our how we perceive. Whatever we are uttering may not be the whole truth because that is the part that we have seen not the other person. For inference there maybe ‘n’ number of opinions of any decision taken by the government. The reason behind this diversity is the factor of our comfort level with that decision.

We want somebody who is always ready to listen to us but it is really uncomfortable to be in opposite position. Rather saying it as a demerit, it can be termed as a psychological trait. Nowadays we are becoming so much impatient that we only listen our side and become judgemental at the very moment. Without listening the whole story we declare the verdict resulting in chaos, arguments and clashes.

In order to avoid this we should be always ready to see both sides of the coin which in turn will definitely help ourselves because a healthy discussion not only soothes the mind but also infuses our mind with positive things. The basic definition includes its most important characteristic of being a two way entity.Life is not about the win and fail but to grasp the essence of each and every moment be it good or bad.
